How a game starts
Host
Open the desktop app and host a game. It runs on your computer, and the saved game stays there.
Find it
Players open play.aetherboard.app in any browser. Your game is in the list unless you make it private.
Join
Click the game, pick a name and a colour, and press Join.
Play
The map, the dice and the character sheets are on the page.
What's at the table
Maps with fog of war
The GM draws walls and doors, and players see only what their characters could see from where they stand.
Tokens that fill their squares
A large creature covers every square its size calls for, and a token can be raised above the ground, with its height shown in feet.
Dice across the map
Dice are thrown across the map and land on the result the server rolled, so nobody can fudge a roll.
Character sheets
Each sheet is built from the game system you play and does the arithmetic for you.
Turn tracker
Initiative runs in order, so nobody has to ask whose turn it is.
Chat
The whole table shares one chat, and every roll appears in its log.
Music
Pro and above can play background music to the whole table.
Cloud saves
Pro and above can keep a copy of a saved game with their account.
Game systems
A game system holds the rules of one game. The 2024 and 2014 5th Edition rules, a d20 starter and a dice pool starter come free, and you can add more or write your own.

Membership
A free account can host 3 saved games with up to 4 players at a table. Paid memberships raise those limits and add music and cloud storage.
A yearly plan costs the same as ten monthly payments.
